What is Profit Metrics?

Profit Metrics is our signature program based on the methodology outlined in David’s book of the same name. It is a three-step program that creates a best-practice and dynamic financial management ecosystem, so you can properly manage and control your business. It embeds reliability and predictability into your business finances and gives you enough lead time to make the best decisions, so you can stop worrying and start focusing on your clients’ needs.

What will Profit Metrics do for my business?

Profit Metrics will allow you to see the future through your numbers and give you time to make the best decisions. 

Profit Metrics will allow you to see the future through your numbers and give you time to make the best decisions. It enables you to focus on your client’s needs, grow your businesses and rest peacefully at night. Some of our clients have been able to successfully double their businesses within four years. One of those is now turning over more than $30M per year.

How does Profit Metrics work?

Four core elements make up a dynamic financial management ecosystem that work in harmony with each other to give you the strategic decision-making ability to anticipate, evaluate, and navigate.

If you over-rely on any one of these Core Four elements or are missing any of the others, you simply can’t make truly informed, strategic decisions.

The Three Stages of Profit Metrics:

1. Discovery

A diagnostic discovery phase including our unique 100-point health check and report with recommendations (much like an NRMA inspection on a car). We use this opportunity to 'look under the hood' so we can diagnose the areas of your business that aren't up to best practice standards, and offer solutions based on your unique needs.

2. Implementation

7-13 week program (depending on t/o) to embed best practice across the 5-Pillars of financial management; Strategy, Reporting, Budgeting; Forecasting and Cash-Flow Management. In this stage, after we do a strategic review, we work with your staff, implementing best practice standards, custom templates and training across the 5-Pillars. We create the dynamic ecosystem from which the company can be properly managed. 

3. Oversight

Ongoing oversight keeps the bar set at a high level, so things don't revert back the way they were previously. We assume a role similar to a non-executive director, providing strategic insights and meeting attendance. We guide and mentor the finance manager as they prepare the board papers as well vetting them prior to distribution to ensure Directors are getting reliable information.
